Why a survey on Solo Female Travel Trends?
Women book over 80% of travel and represent 54% of the hospitality industry jobs, BUT little comprehensive research has been done on solo female travel trends. SO travel companies offer what they think we want.
It’s time to tell them what we actually want.
The 2020 survey was our first step towards normalising solo travel for women and providing the travel and tourism industry with invaluable insights to better serve us.
The 2021 survey continued our efforts, and the results were used in a tourism paper on Gender Equality in collaboration with Dr. Elaine Yang and Marisol Alonso from Griffith University, Australia and Professor Catheryn Khoo from Torrens University, Australia.
