- Easter Island belongs to Chile, despite being geographically Polynesian. This world famous and mysterious island is home to 400 moai statues mysteriously carved by Rapa Nui's ancient inhabitants.

- There are around 90 active volcanoes in Chile. Ojos del Salado is the world’s highest historically active volcano.

- Chile has the world's biggest swimming pool. Located at San Alfonso del Mar Resort in the city of Algarrobo, the pool is over 1,013m in length, covers an area of eight hectares (20 acres) and has a maximum depth of 115 feet. It holds 66 million gallons of water and costs over $3 million USD a year to maintain.
